Prophetic, a young startup based in Portland, Oregon, has quietly raised a seed round to support its mission of bringing automation and efficiency to the real estate development process. While the funding amount hasn’t been disclosed, the round was led by Entrada Ventures, with participation from SilverCircle and Progression Fund. The startup currently employs 11 people and is planning to expand its team in the near future.

Launched in 2023, Prophetic builds software tools for real estate developers, homebuilders, and brokerages. Its platform focuses on streamlining complex tasks like site planning and data extraction—steps that traditionally require a mix of manual research, consulting, and spreadsheets. By automating these workflows, Prophetic aims to reduce friction in the early stages of property development and help professionals make faster, smarter decisions.

CEO and founder Oliver Alexander previously launched Orchid Health, a medical clinic network that provides care to rural communities across Oregon. His new venture brings that same focus on underserved workflows into a different sector—this time tackling inefficiencies in real estate planning and analysis.

The idea behind Prophetic is similar to tools like CityBldr, a Seattle-based startup focused on commercial real estate. But while CityBldr serves large-scale commercial clients, Prophetic is building tools that also appeal to smaller firms and residential developers looking to digitize their planning process.

With Entrada Ventures backing the company—following its recent investment in Seattle maritime software startup OpenTug—Prophetic is now positioned to scale its platform and grow its reach. As the real estate tech space continues to modernize, the company is betting that smarter, automated site analysis will be the next standard for how projects get off the ground.
