Prezent, a startup helping professionals create polished slide decks with generative AI, has secured $20 million in fresh funding as it refines its models and expands globally.
While AI is transforming everything from writing to design, crafting professional business presentations remains tricky. Generic AI tools often fail to grasp industry-specific jargon or corporate nuances — a challenge Prezent aims to solve.
Founded in 2021 by Rajat Mishra, a former Cisco and McKinsey executive, Prezent is designed to make high-stakes business communication easier and faster. Mishra’s personal journey overcoming a childhood stutter fueled his mission: “Wouldn’t it be incredible if we could build an AI platform that democratizes business communication and makes everyone a great communicator?”
Based in Los Altos with a large team in Bengaluru, Prezent uses a blend of public AI models fine-tuned with proprietary data, including a vast dataset of 2 million slide decks.

The platform allows users to upload documents like Excel sheets, PDFs, and website links. Prezent’s AI assistant, Astrid, then tailors the presentation based on the company’s language, internal abbreviations, and specific guidelines—delivering context-aware decks that sound industry-appropriate and brand-aligned.
Beyond automation, Prezent also offers an expedited human review service where consultants and designers refine drafts overnight, ensuring professional-grade presentations for time-sensitive projects.
Prezent’s client list already includes around 150 Fortune 2000 companies, with a strong foothold in biopharma and tech sectors. The startup now plans to tap into financial services and manufacturing, while expanding to Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia later this year.
Mishra revealed that Prezent generated over $10 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) last year and already serves clients across Europe. Southeast Asia is the next key target, with expansion plans scheduled for Q2 2024.
The company also plans to roll out APIs that let developers build presentations directly from chatbots, apps, search engines, and other platforms powered by Prezent’s AI.
“DeepSeek showed us AI startups no longer need massive funding rounds to make a huge impact,” Mishra shared. Today, 75% of Prezent’s nearly 200 employees work remotely from India, helping scale its operations efficiently.
The latest investment — which values Prezent at well over $100 million — was led by Greycroft and backed by Zoom Ventures, Emergent Ventures, and WestWave. New investors include True Global Ventures (TGV), Manulife Ventures, and Alumni Ventures.
With this momentum, Prezent is positioning itself as a leading AI-powered presentation tool—empowering business teams to create compelling, industry-specific slide decks faster and with less effort.
