Otter.ai, the AI-powered transcription platform, is expanding its suite of productivity tools with the launch of three AI agents designed to streamline meetings, sales, and customer engagement. The star of the rollout is the Otter Meeting Agent, a voice-activated assistant capable of performing tasks and answering questions in real time by tapping into company data.
Building on its popular transcription and meeting summary features, Otter’s new Meeting Agent introduces advanced capabilities beyond basic note-taking. This intelligent assistant can now join Zoom meetings, transcribe conversations, summarize key points, and most importantly, answer live questions based on historical meeting data.
In a demonstration video, Otter showcased how users can speak directly to the agent during meetings to schedule follow-ups or draft emails. All through natural voice commands. These enhancements mark what Otter calls a “transformative evolution” of its AI assistant, setting the stage for smarter, more interactive virtual collaboration.
Currently available on Zoom, the Meeting Agent will soon support Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, with a broader rollout underway.
Alongside the Meeting Agent, Otter is also launching two specialized AI agents targeting sales teams:
- Sales Agent: Offers real-time coaching during calls, helping sales reps handle objections and close deals more effectively. It integrates with all major virtual conferencing platforms and is available to Otter enterprise customers.
- Sales Development Representative (SDR) Agent: A fully autonomous agent capable of conducting product demos without human intervention. This tool is now live on Otter’s website, and companies interested in deploying it can contact Otter directly.
Looking ahead, Otter plans to roll out additional AI agents focused on marketing, recruiting, and other key business functions.
