Automaise, a fast-growing AI-powered productivity platform, has raised €5 million in Series A funding to accelerate the global expansion of its AI customer service platform. The investment, led by Oxy Capital with participation from BrightPixel, Armilar, and HCapital, signals strong confidence in Automaise’s mission to transform how businesses deliver customer support.
This latest round builds on Automaise’s earlier €1 million seed round in 2021 and sets the stage for its expansion into European and U.S. markets while enhancing its enterprise-ready Agentic AI platform.
Businesses are spending billions on AI technologies but continue to lose even more due to poor service delivery. Automaise bridges this gap with its unique AI platform, designed to improve customer self-service, support human agents, and automate repetitive workflows. By freeing agents to focus on complex tasks, Automaise drives efficiency and significantly improves service quality.
“Our AI empowers businesses to work smarter, not harder,” said CEO Ernesto Pedrosa. “With this investment, we’ll accelerate innovation, expand globally, and help more companies unlock AI’s true potential—without the complexity that typically slows adoption.”
Automaise will use the fresh capital to hire 30 new employees across all departments by the end of 2025 and to enhance the platform’s next-gen AI agent capabilities. The focus remains on delivering an AI solution that businesses can deploy easily—without needing extensive technical expertise.
Founded in 2017 in Braga, Portugal by former Microsoft executives Ernesto Pedrosa and Carlos Oliveira, Automaise offers a low-code, no-code platform that simplifies AI-powered process automation. Their mission is clear: empower businesses to improve customer care and decision-making while removing the barriers that make AI integration difficult.
Since launching, Automaise has built a strong client base in retail, banking, insurance, and telecom, including Intelcia, Altice, Sonae MC, Novobanco, Via Verde, and Talgo. Companies using Automaise have reported productivity gains of up to 60%, thanks to streamlined workflows and better resource allocation.
Automaise’s edge lies in its comprehensive platform that blends conversational AI, back-office process optimization, and decision automation—avoiding the siloed approach of many competitors like Amelia, Cognigy, and Kore.ai. Their solution offers rapid deployment in weeks, versus the months-long timelines seen with rivals such as Inbenta or DigitalGenius.
“Our platform drives operational efficiency and productivity, giving companies a competitive edge,” Pedrosa explained. “We believe AI should empower people, not replace them.”
Automaise Platform is Built for Flexibility, Speed, and Scalability
The Automaise platform is built on scalable microservices and future-proof cloud technologies. Its design supports quick deployment of AI-driven workflows while minimizing technical hurdles—a critical advantage as 75% of contact centers struggle with AI integration.
Advanced AI technologies, including deep learning architectures (LSTMs, CNNs, Transformers), power the platform’s ability to process both structured and unstructured data. Transfer learning and active learning further enhance accuracy and performance, even with limited data.
“Our difference is clear—we combine powerful AI with practical, high-value solutions,” said Tiago Proença, Private Equity Associate at Oxy Capital. “Automaise has the right team and the right technology to scale globally in a booming market.”
Looking ahead, Automaise will continue evolving its platform to make enterprise AI adoption seamless and impactful. The company’s roadmap includes expanding into new sectors and geographies while staying committed to delivering agile, efficient AI solutions that help businesses navigate today’s productivity and talent challenges.
“In today’s landscape, agility and operational efficiency define winners,” Pedrosa concluded. “Automaise is here to make sure businesses don’t fall behind.”
