Phantom Neuro, a pioneering neurotechnology company, has announced the successful close of a new funding round led by Ottobock, a global leader in prosthetics, orthotics, and exoskeleton systems. The round also saw continued support from existing investors including Breakout Ventures, Draper Associates, LionBird Ventures, Time BioVentures, and Risk and Return. Additionally, several new backers have joined the effort to propel Phantom Neuro’s mission, such as Actual VC, METIS Innovative, e1 Ventures, Jumpspace, MainSheet Ventures, and Brown Advisory.

Phantom Neuro is revolutionizing human-machine interaction through the development of minimally invasive neural interfaces. Its flagship platform, Phantom X, offers an intuitive control system for prosthetic limbs and robotic exoskeletons. By seamlessly integrating with the human body, Phantom X allows users—particularly amputees and individuals with mobility impairments—to regain control and movement in a way that feels natural and responsive.

Originally developed at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Phantom Neuro’s technology is designed to bridge the communication gap between the nervous system and assistive robotic devices. Unlike traditional control mechanisms, Phantom X leverages neural signals for precise, real-time motion control without requiring invasive brain surgery or external hardware.

The additional funding will help the company further refine its platform, expand clinical trials, and accelerate commercialization. It also strengthens Phantom Neuro’s strategic position within a growing global market for advanced mobility solutions. As the demand for smarter, more responsive prosthetic technologies continues to rise, Phantom Neuro is well-positioned to lead the next wave of innovation in neurotechnology.

This latest investment marks another significant step toward the company’s vision of transforming assistive technology into truly life-enhancing systems that feel like natural extensions of the human body.
